Here's a fascinating look into the editing process of a musical. Someone felt (correctly) that too much time was spent leading up to Fanny's big joke in this number, so various trims were made, including the opening and some choral sections. I've restored them and put black in to indicate what was cut. Barbra's vocal is identical, but the orchestration is different throughout - note the snare drum when the Ziegfeld girls walk down the stairs. The most obvious difference is the inclusion of the Autumn Bride's original vocal. I don't know if it's Sharon Vaughn's own voice, but it's very different from the breathy reading Betty Wand did for the released film.
BTW, the "pregnant bride" prank never actually happened - according to Jule Styne's widow, the bit was Garson Kanin's idea. And in reality, there's no record of Ziegfeld and Brice ever having had any disputes - they got along famously.
