Cyclospora: Deaths reported in US amid ongoing outbreak | FOX 10 Phoenix

Michigan is reporting two deaths in the cyclosporiasis outbreak among its most recent case update on August 3.

"According to medical records, both individuals had significant underlying health conditions that may have been impacted by cyclosporiasis and dehydration. No additional information will be provided on these two cases," according to a report.

So far, there are over 11,000 confirmed cases. Health officials say cyclosporiasis is "generally not a life-threatening illness."
