Don’t Back Down was formed in 2018 by a handful of seasoned Baltimore-based musicians who share not only a mutual love and respect for one of the best and most prolific songwriters of our time but also, for the band that produced one of the best American rock catalogues in history.

It is with great humility and respect that Don’t Back Down strives to not only present audiences with authentic versions of these songs but to help keep the music of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers alive in the hearts of life-long fans, new fans and budding rock musicians alike.

Through accomplished musicianship and an enthusiastic delivery, Don’t Back Down energizes audiences with a diverse mix of songs from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ extensive 41-year, 13-album repertoire, including tracks from Tom Petty’s three solo albums and even a few Mud Crutch and Willbury’s tunes in there for good measure.

Don’t Back Down band members include: Mark O’Dell on guitar and lead vocals; Chris Huntington on lead guitar and vocals; John Nichols on bass and vocals, Tom Sabia on drums; and special guest, Mike Ward on keyboard.
