Feel Good Sex

Sex may feel good, but STIs don't! Stay safe and play smart. Use condoms.

Tips for safe condom use:

• Talk to your partner about condoms before you have sex. Agree to use condoms before you are “in the moment.”

• Use a condom every time you have sex.

• Use a condom or dental dam when you have oral sex. You can get an STI from oral sex!

• Use a new condom every time you have sex.

• Put a condom on before you start having sex. Right after a guy has ejaculated (cum), take the condom off and throw it away.

• Check the date. Do not use condoms after the date on the condom wrapper.

• Be careful when you open the wrapper! Don’t use your teeth. Watch your fingernails or rings.

• Gently pinch the tip of the condom before you roll it down and while you roll it down. This helps you keep air bubbles out of the condom.

• Roll the condom over the erect (hard) penis before the penis gets near the other person’s body.

• Leave about 1/2-inch space at the tip of the condom so that semen (cum) has a place to go.

• Only use water-based lube like KY Jelly. Do not use oil-based lube! Oil-based lube, like Vaseline, massage oils, and body lotions can cause condoms to break or leak.

• Some medicines that people use to treat yeast infections can make condoms weaker.

• Condoms come in all sizes. If you need to, buy a bigger condom (like Magnums or XL condoms)
