This week's Flashback brings us back 37 years when the German Single Charts were lead by an Austrian comedy project with help of a German singer. It was one of the biggest hit of the NDW (Neue Deutsche Welle - New German Wave) during that time and their only Top 10 song in Germany for this formation. Meanwhile in the UK it was an American disco & funk group on top with their only charttopper in the country. But they had multiple #1 songs before in the USA. And speaking of the USA: The Billboard Single Charts. And in the USA the top belonged to a British group with a song about stalking. It was their only #1 in the USA but they also had more success with multiple #1 songs in their homecountry UK.
