Iran executes political detainees as Trump weighs military options

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned President Donald Trump on Sunday on social media that any attack or strike by the US on Iran would spark a “regional war” in the Middle East. He wrote on X, “The Americans should know if they start a war, this time, it will be a regional war.”

Trump shrugged off the comments when he spoke with reporters in Mar-a-lago at a wedding later in the day.
