Iran US War News Live Update : Pakistan mediates between US, Iran as Trump delays strikes

urkey, Egypt and Pakistan conveyed messages between the United States and Iran over the past two days, according to sources cited by Axios reporter Barak Ravid on X.

Senior officials from the three countries held separate talks with White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The mediation efforts are continuing and progressing, with discussions focused on ending the war and resolving all remaining open issues, sources said.

President Donald Trump said Monday he would order the military to postpone strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure following what he described as productive conversations with Tehran. Main U.S. indexes were on track to open higher following the announcement.

Iran’s Fars News Agency disputed Trump’s statement, citing a source who said there had been no direct communication with the United States, nor via intermediaries.
