Simon & Garfunkel est un duo américain de musique pop aux influences folk, constitué de Paul Simon et d'Arthur Garfunkel, qui comptent parmi les artistes les plus populaires des années 1960.
Sounds of Silence est le deuxième album du duo Simon et Garfunkel, paru en 1966. La chanson-titre, déjà présente sur leur précédent album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. dans une version acoustique, fut leur premier succès. On y trouve cette magnifique balade kathies's song composée par Simon lors de son séjour en Angleterre.
