'ROAD TRIP' - NEW VIDEO FROM KELSIE KIMBERLIN OUT NOW!

ENJOY OFFICIAL NEW SONG 'ROAD TRIP' FROM KELSIE KIMBERLIN ON ALL MAJOR DIGITAL PLATFORMS - https://gate.fm/GGNTzOq

"Road Trip" is my song about reaching a breaking point after discovering a terrible family truth. The refrain of the song is about jumping in the car and just driving away for a long, long time. In the video, set in the 1950s, I jump into a red 1956 Ford Thunderbird convertible and head on down the road. Many people we all know have felt the urge to just say, "to hell with this" and want to find the courage to leave a toxic situation, so I am hopeful that the song and video will resonate with everyone on some level. In the audio, the guitar solo represents the angst of the situation, the bridge represents the heartfelt desire to live without drama, and then the piano solo represents the release and calm while driving and leaving it all behind. This combination is uncommon so I hope you enjoy it. Please share, comment, like and subscribe.

ROAD TRIP

Out of school for the summer and I want to kick back yeah

Hang around with friends and forget about books yeah

But then the lightening struck and I heard the thunder

Don’t want to stay home no I got to go wander

Jump into the car I gotta get away, gotta get me get me outta here

Leave it all behind and I’ll never look back, won’t stop for another year

Making no plans just hitting the road and driving just as fast as I can

Going on a road trip slip slip slip away

I just wanna get some peace and quiet,

I don’t wanna face the drama at home

I just wanna roam

I always thought that my family was perfect

So I never prepared for the day it didn’t work yeah

Then the earthquake shook and the walls came crashing

I was out the door and that was the last thing

Jump into the car I gotta get away get me get me get me outta here

Leave it all behind and I’ll never look back won’t stop for another year

Making no plans just hitting the road and driving just as fast as I can

Jump into the car I gotta get away get me get me get me outta here (get me outta here)

Leave it all behind and I’ll never look back won’t stop for another year (I’m never gonna stop)

Making no plans just hitting the road and driving just as fast as I can (I’m driving away)

Going on a road trip slip slip slip away
