Before I recently went private due to 2 copyright strikes I covered a few tv theme songs. First of 3 more today. Always catchy and/or fun tunes on tv.
Cyndi Grecco (born May 19th, 1952) is an American singer best-known for performing the theme tune to the popular 1970s American television show Laverne & Shirley.
The theme to Laverne & Shirley was titled "Making Our Dreams Come True," in which Grecco was accompanied by The Ron Hicklin Singers. It was also put out as a single and charted, peaking at No. 25 in the Billboard Hot 100 of July 4th, 1976. Grecco was managed by Janna Feliciano, then-wife of José Feliciano, and was a featured performer at the 1977 Sun Bowl.
"Making Our Dreams Come True" reached number 25 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 21 on the Cash Box Top 100. The song reached number 16 in Canada on the RPM Weekly Top Singles chart. It spent 16 weeks on the U.S. charts, peaking in early July, and also reached number 13 on the Adult Contemporary chart. To date, it is Grecco's lone record to reach any chart, a one hit wonder.
