Up shift = Whitle you are in small ring at the front, rear gear change from 9th to 10th gear changes front small ring to big ring then to compensate the change rear go back to 7th.

Down shift= When you are in Big chain ring in the front, changing Rear 4th to 3rd gear move chain from big Chain ring to small chain ring in the front. To compansate the change rear move back to 6 th gear,
