Today's South Africa Weather Update
Frosty mornings across the Free State Province, Eastern Cape Province, KwaZulu-Natal Province, the Highveld, and adjacent regions, with temperatures dipping low enough for widespread frost to develop at sunrise. Throughout the day, most of South Africa will experience dry and comfortable conditions, though light showers may occur along the East Coast, particularly in parts of KwaZulu-Natal Province and the Eastern Cape Province. In contrast, berg winds will bring warm to hot weather to the western regions, making it feel unseasonably mild for the last month of winter. The South African Weather Service has issued Yellow Level 2 warnings for damaging coastal winds and waves between KwaDukuza and Kosi Bay, potentially causing navigation hazards, short-term disruptions at small harbours, and risks for small vessels until Sunday afternoon. Additionally, damaging interior winds may cause localized damage to settlements in the northeastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal Province through tomorrow, so residents and mariners should remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
