In the late 80's, into the early 90's, glam metal (commonly referred to as HAIR Metal) was the dominant style of music. Bands like Cinderella, Poison and Bon Jovi were annual chart toppers, with regular radio and MTV air play, and sold out worldwide tours, but there was something on the horizon. A little diddy called "Smells Like Teen Spirit," by eventual legends and genre killers Nirvana.
