In return, Iran has offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on condition that traffic be regulated and that it reportedly charge $2 million per ship. US President Donald Trump described the proposal as significant but insufficient. He has also set a deadline for compliance, warning of possible strikes. A separate US 15-point proposal has also been rejected by Iran earlier.
