US launches fifth night of strikes as Iran issues fresh threats

The US has launched a fifth night of attacks on Iranian targets overnight, in addition to re-imposing a naval blockade on Iran's ports.

Washington has said the strikes are aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz, but this morning Iran warned that it would target infrastructure across the Gulf region if President Trump carries out his threats to attack Iranian power plants and bridges next week.
