Indian opposition party Indian National Congress has termed President Donald Trump's statement as highly insulting and anti-India.

The Congress leaders were of the view that keeping in view Prime Minister Narendra Modi's track record, it cannot be expected from him to respond to the US President.

Congress said Narendra Modi has proven to be a weak Prime Minister, and the entire nation is suffering its consequences.

On the other hand, global experts say that describing a country as a Hell Hole reflects a state that is extremely devastated and in a condition of misery in terms of basic human rights.

They said that such anti-India statements by US President Donald Trump clearly indicate a growing rift in bilateral relations between the United States and India.

The expert further said that Narendra Modi's global humiliation and disgrace mark a shameful and dark chapter in India's history under his leadership.
