What Happened to The Amazing Digital Fight Club?

Do you remember this in the amazing digital circus?

A few years ago one of the most popular AU’s in the digital circus fandom was the amazing digital fight club. So what happened to it? Let me explain.

So back in march of 2024 a few months after the release of the pilot the amazing digital fight club au was created by burrotello.

In this alternate universe all the characters are boxers in an arena, and they have hands down some of the best designs i’ve ever seen for a fan project. Jax and ragatha especially look amazing.

It immediately took off and became the most popular au in the fandom, getting a bunch of fanart.

In 2025 they announced they were teaming up with indie animation studio BlipToons to create an animated short for it.

They got permission from glitch and created a kickstarter, which raised 30,000 dollars.

Things continued as normal until march of this year when drama emerged surrounding two of the voice actors being kittensneeze and ash mcshan, who voiced pomni and caine in the project.

Updates slowed until today when they put up a few new sneak peeks on instagram, and revealed that both pomni and caine were being recast.

There was a post about the recast in june on the patreon, but only backers can see it.

So yeah overall just a messy situation.

Personally for me and my friends we totally forgot about this project until today. Over on twitter as well everyone is criticising the project because of the past drama, but nobody even knows that the voice actors were recast because it was only announced on instagram.

I’m looking forward to the project, but they definitely dropped the ball with keeping people in the loop, it would be nice to find out why the va’s were recast too.
