What If the Pivotal Helix Used Lilium’s Technology?
What if some of Lilium’s most interesting technology could live on in a completely different aircraft?
In this video, I reimagine the Pivotal Helix using Lilium-style electric ducted fans and tilting propulsion flaps. We look at whether four EDFs could replace the Helix’s eight propellers, compare thrust, weight and power requirements, and then explore what an eight-EDF version could become.
Could this approach create a better personal eVTOL — or would open propellers still be the smarter solution?
