*If you ever have problems connecting to the bike using the E-tube app, turn off the Shimano motor, and shut down the app. Start up the app/motor and try again.*

Here's how to adjust the level of assistance on a Shimano Steps E8000 ebike motor. Make sure the phone and ebike battery has more than enough power to last the entire operation. If either one of them shuts down in the middle of the process, the motor may not work afterwards.
