First ride on the updated Shimano EP8 - the 2nd generation EP801

Shimano updated their EP8 motor for 2023. The old EP8, code name EP800, was pretty silent while pedaling, but there was a rattle while coasting. Similar to the Bosch Performance CX. Now with the 2nd gen motor, codename EP801, it's gone!

Conditions were less than ideal, with lots of ice and hard snow, but I had to cease the opportunity.
