Common Tern chicks and their very protective parents! I captured three different families with chicks. The nesting site was a viscous war zone and the chicks spent the entire time in hiding. The longest they were allowed to walk around was for a few split seconds, then the parents would put them back into a hiding spot. The chicks’ instinct to protect themselves in a hide was amazing. I hope all these sweet little ones make it. 7/10
