In this Tennis Masterclass, I talk about an important tactic that will help you make your game more aggressive, and ultimately, more successful. We call it “ghosting in” to the net.

Do you want to transition from defense to offense in a heartbeat like top pros Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune and Jannik Sinner? Do you want to outsmart your opponent and make them unsure of when your next sneak attack might be coming?

If so, I have a brilliant way to finish off points at the net, while keeping your opponents guessing.

The goal of ghosting in is to take advantage of the fact that your opponent is in a position of weakness. When you’ve hit a strong shot and forced your opponent into a defensive posture, why let him get out of jail with a weak slice or a moonball? Instead, pounce on your opportunity and close down his options by attacking the net.

In this video, I break down each aspect of the tactic. From how to know when to ghost in, to what path to follow as you rush the net, to where to make your split step… I can assure you that you will leave this video better at making the most of your chances. Let’s go!
