We’re starting this one FAR from home — inside the Costco in Gypsum, Colorado — and ending it right back where we belong: on our Alaska homestead. ❤️
After traveling in the Lower 48, I couldn’t resist stopping at what might be one of the most beautiful Costco locations I’ve ever seen. But shopping in Colorado also gave me a pretty interesting look at just how different access, prices, and everyday grocery shopping can feel compared to life back home in Alaska.
Then it’s time to fly north.
We come home to an EMPTY refrigerator, which means there’s no avoiding it — we need fresh food. So we’re heading to Three Bears Alaska in Meadow Lakes to restock the fridge, compare what shopping looks like between these two very different places, and pick up everything we need for a special birthday surprise back at the homestead.
From Colorado mountains to Alaska grocery prices, an empty refrigerator to a full kitchen — this one brings us full circle.
Because no matter where our travels take us, everything we do eventually leads us right back home. ❤️
