The US and Iran have exchanged the largest number of strikes in weeks - after Iran retaliated to American attacks by launching strikes against US assets across the Middle East.

Iran says one US strike hit a wedding celebration in the south of the county, killing four people including one child.

The US has denied targeting civilians but US Central Command says they're 'looking into' the strike.
