The next stage of the escalation in fighting between the US and Iran will include Tehran striking Tel Aviv first, the New York Times reported on July 24, citing two Iranian officials


The Iranian officials told the NYT if US President Donald Trump follows through his threats to hit Tehran, then th e Islamic Republic’s forces will retaliate by striking Tel Aviv


The officials further told the American publication that Iran will also ask the Houthi rebel group in Yemen to impose a maritime blockade on the Bab al-Mandab strait
