A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv carrying 174 people made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia on September 30 after a violent cockpit fight between the pilots caused the plane to plunge from 33,000 to 17,000 feet. The Omani co-pilot allegedly attempted to crash the aircraft and was stabbed and subdued by the Indian captain with help from Israeli passengers. Israel scrambled warplanes fearing a hijacking, with Netanyahu and top security officials convening urgent consultations as authorities now treat the incident as a terrorist attack. Both pilots were injured; Flydubai and Saudi authorities have launched investigations, and a replacement aircraft is being sent to bring passengers home.
