This is a Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks cover. It's a bit of a strange mix of a couple things. It originates from a YouTube video that's floating around of Stevie Nicks at a Rolling Stone cover shoot. She's singing some strange mix of the song "Can't Go Back" off Mirage and "Wild Heart" off her upcoming solo record. The thing is.... neither of those songs (although amazing) are as jaw dropping as the version she sings on this video. It's so effortless and amazing, and it's a perfect example of using one progression over and over for a verse and a chorus and just layering and layering. When I was first really getting into Fleetwood Mac, this was the video that made me drop any pre-conceived notions and just go.... f*ck, this is special.

Anyways, this song is off of a tour-only EP I did for this
summer, and is taken directly from this YouTube video.

As for Madi... well Madi is just massively talented, everybody knows that. Ever since I first saw Madi at an 8 Off 8th (when she still lived in Boston), I was a huge fan. Madi has been an amazing friend in Nashville for me, and we can both go and grab lunch and gripe about the south like a bunch of northerners. I can't tell you how many times I've called her and been like "I gotta tell you what I saw today... these Southerners... are they serious?". That usually is followed by something along the lines of ".....and it's kind of amazing." Mainly cause we both came to Nashville for similar reasons... to get away from New York and Boston and focus fully on making music, spending time with friends, etc. Anyways... you get it. Madi. Amazing. Fleetwood Mac. Amazing. A marriage of them both... hopefully amazing.
