Microsoft Plans to Close the Activision Merger October 13th

The Microsoft Activision deal looks as though it could close as early as October 13th. That's according to the Verge who is saying the CMA is about to hear final notes from people before they pass a final judgement.

Previously After losing the appeal, the FTC has once again returned the Microsoft Activision deal to adjudication as they will once again try to stop this in court. The FTC vs Microsoft case will once again be brought in front of a judge who will need to decide if it proceeds. The FTC vs Microsoft appeal was not approved and the FTC vs Microsoft case was largely dead. Even with the CMA about to approve the deal the FTC is bringing it once again to their own courts for another look. While this is big Xbox news today, Microsoft wins regardless if they close the deal before anything happens.

Previously: The Microsoft FTC Trial has come to an end and Microsoft wins Activision vs the FTC concerns. That's according to the filing from Jacqueline Scott Corley who has denied the preliminary injunction allowing Microsoft acquires Activision. The CMA Microsoft talks have also begun shortly after this reveal, and outline how a small concession could allow the final days of Microsoft buying Activision to arrive. The FTC could still appeal the decision but an FTC appeal Microsoft Activision rumor would need to be filed in a very timely fashion.
