Reports Say EU Will Approve Xbox Activision Deal Monday 5/15

Reuters are reporting that the Microsoft Activision Blizzard deal could be approved in the EU, and that is in line with what Vestager has been saying publicly about the merger. In addition, comments from Bobby Kotick have pointed out how strange it is to have the CMA block the Xbox Activision deal over cloud gaming as it is in its infancy. Microsoft hired the Queen's Lawyer for their appeal to the CMA and in addition to all that, EA commented on the Microsoft Activision deal publicly saying that the case outcome will not impact them one way or another.

Previously: Both Bloomberg and Reuters have discussed the current status of the Activision Blizzard deal and several sources now saying that the EU is likely to allow the purchase to go through. Meanwhile in big Xbox news today the CMA is getting some additional options for approval paths that could get the Microsoft Activision Blizzard deal done in that location as well.
