One of my favorite early songs by Pink Floyd and certainly one of their strangest endings. For me it was the last track on Relics (1971), but for UK audiences it was the last track on The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). I always puzzled over Syd Barrett's jaunty, playful melody and lyrics only to be taken into that other "room" of total insanity ending in laughter similar to that emitted from a device The Joker (Jack Nicholson) is still holding in a dead hand after he falls from the impossibly towering Gotham Cathedral in Batman (1989). Thus, the entire track is made dark by the conclusion. I hope you'll enjoy my own bit playfulness in this video.
