Watch the live performance of AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! by Vampyra at Hydrus Live!

Vampyra are a horror punk/metal quartet from Kent, combining heavy riffs, breakdowns, shredding guitar solos and gritty vocals with an unapologetically theatrical, campy horror aesthetic. Their music moves between punk and metal, giving them a deliberately unpredictable sound.

Formed in 2021, the band perform through horror-inspired alter egos Madame Hex, Count Venom II, Boingo the Clown and Ingrid Orlok. They build their live shows around vampires, zombies, monsters, audience participation and plenty of dark humour. Rather than taking the horror imagery completely seriously, Vampyra lean into the fun of it: expect monster moshing, screams, theatrical antics and even the occasional clown horn.

The band won Kent's Metal 2 the Masses competition, earning themselves a place on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2026. Their releases include Fly, My Pretties, Fly, The Zombies Are Coming, It Ain't Easy Being Scary and their 2026 single I Don't Wanna Be Human.
