This band was formed in 2012 when lead singer Mandy Lee wanted to have an 80s cover band for her birthday party. She partnered with fellow musicians Etienne Bowler (percussions) and bass guitarrist William Heir who she met thanks to a mutual friend. Later guitarrist Marc Campbell, multi-instrumentalist Jesse Blum and finally saxophonist Mike Murphy completed the group 'MisterWives' (a gender-flipped play on the term for the practice of polygamy sister-wives).

In 2014 they released their debut EP "Reflections". One year later they released their debut album "Our Own House". It peaked at #31 in the US Billboard Album Charts. They later toured among others with Panic! At The Disco and in 2017 released their 2nd album "Connect The Dots" - which made the Top 200 album charts and peaked at #19 in the US Alternative album charts.

In 2019 the band signed a record deal with "Fueled By Ramen" and later that year released their first singe under the new label, called "Why Why Why" and then the EP called "Minibloom". This year (2020) they released their 3rd album "Superbloom".

They have done very well on my own Chrizly-Charts, in fact they were the first artist to have 4 #1 songs and still hold the record for most #1 songs by a group.
