President Donald Trump described an alleged incident involving a FlyDubai aircraft, saying he had spoken at length with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about what happened.

Trump said the co-pilot was “perhaps a terrorist or perhaps a wack job” and alleged that he stabbed the pilot during the flight. He then recounted an account in which an Israeli plumber aboard the aircraft helped restrain the co-pilot and took hold of the control stick to level the plane.

Trump said the plumber had never flown an aircraft but watched the television programme “Air Disasters” and had learned about flying from it. He acknowledged that he did not know whether all of the details of the account were true.
