I Turned a Broken Phone Into a Handheld Gaming Laptop!
What if a broken old phone could become a fully functional handheld gaming laptop? Instead of throwing it away, I decided to give it a completely new life by turning it into a DIY Handheld gaming machine!
The goal was simple: build a compact DIY Handheld with its own screen, keyboard, controls, battery, and everything needed to make it feel like a real mini gaming laptop.
But fitting everything into such a tiny device was way harder than I expected.
I had to tear down the phone, design a custom enclosure, figure out the controls, add proper cooling, and somehow squeeze all the hardware inside. Every millimeter mattered when building this DIY Handheld.
After a lot of designing, testing, and fixing unexpected problems, my DIY Handheld finally started looking like a real portable gaming computer.
But there was still one big question: how well could it actually game?
I tested the finished DIY Handheld with everyday tasks, videos, and several games to see how much performance I could squeeze out of this old phone hardware.
It definitely has some limitations, but seeing a broken phone transformed into a working DIY Handheld was absolutely worth it.
Watch until the end to see the final DIY Handheld in action and find out if this crazy project actually worked!
