I Turned a PS4 Into a Gaming Laptop!
What if you could carry your PlayStation 4 anywhere like a gaming laptop? That’s exactly the idea behind this Portable PS4 project.
Instead of leaving my console under a TV, I wanted to build a fully functional Portable PS4 with a built-in display, keyboard, custom cooling, and a compact design that I could easily take anywhere.
Building a Portable PS4 was far more challenging than I expected. I had to completely disassemble the console, redesign the internal layout, create a custom 3D-printed enclosure, and make sure everything stayed cool while gaming.
After weeks of designing, printing, wiring, and testing, the Portable PS4 finally started coming together. Every component had to fit perfectly without sacrificing performance or portability.
Once the build was complete, it was time for the real test. I powered on the Portable PS4, played several demanding games, checked temperatures, and measured how well the custom cooling system handled long gaming sessions.
The final result looks like a gaming laptop, but inside it's still a real PlayStation 4. This Portable PS4 combines console gaming with the convenience of a portable setup in a way I never thought was possible.
So, can a Portable PS4 really replace a traditional gaming laptop for portable gaming? And was all the effort worth it?
Watch until the end to see the full build process and discover how this Portable PS4 performs in real-world gaming!
