Speaking in Orillia, Ontario on Friday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford expressed his frustration over the ongoing U.S.-Canada trade disputes and "the whole tariff nonsense" as "the craziest thing" he has ever seen.

Ford highlighted the broader impact of U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs, noting that consumer confidence across the U.S. is declining and investment is stalling, which could lead to job losses for American workers. "It's not 'Liberation Day', it was called 'Termination Day' because Americans will be terminated."

Despite expressing his concerns about the situation, Ford clarified that his grievances are directed at the U.S. administration, specifically President Trump, rather than the American people. "It's not the American people. It's one person. That's President Trump," he said.
