The New York Yankees have acquired Amed Rosario from the Washington Nationals, aiming to shore up their infield depth after news that Aaron Judge is headed to the injured list. Rosario, known for his versatility and ability to play second and third base, adds valuable flexibility to Aaron Boone’s lineup.

Rosario has also thrived against left-handed pitching, hitting nearly .300 with an OPS above .800 in those matchups this season. While not a power bat, his contact skills and defensive utility make him a key asset during this critical stretch of the season.

In return, the Yankees sent RHP Clayton Beeter and OF Browm Martinez to the Nationals. Beeter, a former Dodgers prospect, had limited MLB time, while Martinez is an 18-year-old international prospect with long-term upside.
